My rating here is in between 3 and 4. I love the location and the food was good. Service was good, just probably not the cleanest restaurant and for being a newer restaurant their booths are torn up and ripped. We ordered a sticky bun and it was huge plus very delicious. If you go there and get the sticky bun, you won't be disappointed.

Very good food. I was disappointed when they went out of business before, so glad to see them back! Ruben sandwich is excellent here!

My kids and wifie and I come here for breakfast. We love it. From the giant cinnamon rolls to the great pancakes and French toast. We love it all. Not to mention the great staff.

Soggy beacon. The one thing that every breakfast joint should be able to make is nice crispy beacon. It came out soggy and wilted with not one hint of crispness. I was very disappointed.

A great local place! The portions are large and not much of a wait either. The staff are very friendly and the pricing seams reasonable. A lot of regulars come here so that's also a sign of a great place.

Hubby and I had an early date night this past Wednesday night. Always wanting to try new places, we came here. The waiter we had was really nice and we had a very nice chat. The food? Hubby had the turkey, bacon, avocado, cheesy, tomato sandwich with a side salad. The homemade ranch dressing (I tasted it) was pretty decent. Hubby said the sandwich was decent...the plus being the grilled bread. I had a french dip (it's been ages since having one of those...I love au jus!) with onion rings. The onion rings were less than interesting...had a couple and left the rest. The French Dip was on a ciabatta roll and also grilled. the meat was obviously pre-frozen, and the au jus? No flavor at all. It was just brown liquid. The prices are pretty good. The place was empty except for a couple of others. The waiter said most of their business is for breakfast. We may go back to try that.....but it won't be running back. The place has been around since 1942. Not bad. Not inspiring, either.

OK, great staff. Great service. If you have blue hair, or wear black socks with your sandles and your belt chaffs your nipples, you are in the right spot. Don't get me wrong the food was good but lacked flavor. You know, everything needed salt or some seasoning. Bring your own garlic and onion. Everything was from a can just like at the old folks home. I had the pork chops. Super thin and bit dry. No seasoning while being grilled. Mashed potatoes were good but the gravy from a can. The chicken noodle soup had peas and corn in it. Again bland. I hope the clientele lives long enough for the owners to retire.

Visiting family, here in St George, so we stppped in for breakfast. Excellent choice, from the nice airy space of the restaurant to our firecracker server, Malory. I went with the simple waffle, perfectly done. Other choice ran the gamut from eggs to order to an omelette. All looked very good, attested to be a round of clean plates. Nice portions with huge cinnamon rolls. and scones. Will be back, next visit!

1 star for the cinnamon roll, one star for the great prices, zero stars for taste, service and ambiance.

Started with the $1.99 sweet roll after the waitress recommended it... It was HUGE 8-10 inches. Kids loved it! Then for the food: took awhile to prepare! It was worth it... Waffles, breakfast food, steak and eggs. It was all very good!

In town from Texas, my husband loves some breakfast. He found this place on Google and we could not have been happier! The food is amazing, service was great and we couldn't believe the price! We'll probably be back tomorrow.

Made the mistake of ordering the "loaded hash browns." I didn't expect a plate of gravy. Couldn't taste anything else. Disgusting. Had to wait forever to be seated and to pay check. On the plus side: it's cheap, my bros ordered French toast and that looked good.

Bishops was a great Yelp find! The portions were HUGE and food was delicious. We especially liked the French toast and the "Big breakfast" (can't remember the full name, but BIG was an understatement, it was Huge!). We would recommend to friends and will go there again.

We had the country breakfast (biscuits and gravy) it was quick and delicious. But the sweet roll is the best one I have ever tasted!! You have to order it first though because it takes about 15 min to prepare and bake- yum!!! The waitress was very friendly and even gave my two year old a stuff animal to take home- awesome service!!! Will be back again

How great to find this cute little place in St. George!! Mom and the boy had the strawberry waffle and both raved about it....lots of strawberries and freshly whipped cream. I tried a bite and it was delicious. I had the #6, one egg with a biscuit and gravy. A perfect little breakfast for only about $3! Our waitress was super friendly and our food came out fast. If I ever make it back to St. George I will definitely eat here again!

I have learned there are two types of people in this world: those who like diner food and those who don't. I am one of the former. I appreciate American diner food for what it is - greasy, pleasing, delicious, comfort food. Bishops is one of those places. It isn't fine dining. It isn't the best food in STG. The service won't knock your socks off, but on a Saturday morning, diner food sometimes hits the spot right on. The breakfast burrito is good. I would order that again. Also, they have a massive cinnamon roll which is one of my favorite foods of all time. The pancakes are XL and taste good as well. If you're in Washington looking for Diner food, Bishops is a good choice.

Seriously nothing bad to say about Bishops. The food is good, the service is good and the prices are cheap. You may have to wait to get a seat but that is only a testimony to the excellent food, staff and prices!

Love the food and people here, EXCEPT, The huge fat cook that stares at people through the window that he hands food through while he STUFFS HIS FACE WITH FOOD. Absolutely repulsive. Can't believe this guy has a job in food.

Bishop's is cheap, delicious, serves breakfast all day, and the atmosphere is laid back and social. The servers are engaging and personable. The owners, Darby and Theresa, have continued the traditions laid out by Grandma Bishop: unbelievable made-from-scratch pies, the homemade raspberry jam (secret recipe, of course), and making every customer feel like family. Definitely a gem in southern Utah.

We have been looking for a good breakfast place in St. George. We have found it. I had a Pecan Pancake with a side of crisp hashbrowns. Dennis had a pancake with loaded hashbrowns. Both were wonderful. I couldn't even eat all my pancake. It took up the whole plate. This would be like 4 pancakes anywhere else. I asked for my hash browns to be crisp. This is the first place that really knows how to cook hash browns. I didn't try Dennis' loaded hashbrowns because it would make my crisp hashbrowns a little soggy. He loved them though and they looked good. I would dare bet our pancakes are homemade too. The service was fast and good. Only drawback is that this place isn't big enough. With all the business they have they need more room to take care of everyone coming in. I would like to try lunch or dinner but don't know if I dare. I have usually found most places are good at one or the other but not both. I might someday but for now happy with the wonderful breakfast.

I have tried this place several times just to give it a chance. It is a disappointment. Five of us ate there and only one person said his meal was ok. My meal, the eggs and bacon, was trying hard to be mediocre. The eggs were almost cooked, but still runny. The bacon was left over from the previous day and deep fried to heat it up. Poor quality control and becoming a "cheap" restaurant. The hash browns were not cooked all the way through and lacked any taste. The touted "Home Made Jelly" which was the only option on the table was tasteless. The little squares of jelly that some restaurants put on the table were infinitely better tasting. My wife's pancake was bland and had assumed the flavor of whatever cooking oil they were using. The syrup was not sweet. Go figure. How does that happen? They don't serve real butter there, just a glop of oleo out of tub and onto your plate. Very low class. The coffee was the typical warm water with a brown crayon swirled around to give it a brown look. This place must scrimp on everything. A breakfast at the Jack-in-the-Box across the street would have been more satisfying and cheaper. Unless my friends drag me back here, I will never set foot inside this place again, especially since there are a number of better places to eat in the area.
